Frequently Asked
What are cultivated diamonds?
Cultivated diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They are created in controlled laboratory environments using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond formation process. Our cultivated diamonds possess the same hardness, brilliance, and fire as earth-mined diamonds, but are created without environmental impact or ethical concerns.
What quality standards do you use for your diamonds?
We exclusively use the highest quality cultivated diamonds available - D colour (completely colourless) and VVS1 clarity (very, very slightly included). All our diamonds are graded by Independent Gemological Laboratories (IGI) using the same strict standards as mined diamonds. Each piece comes with IGI certification documenting the stone and cut specifications.
Can I customize my jewellery?
Currently, our collection pieces are not customisable. However, we do accept client requests for bespoke pieces through our contact form at contact@maisonalwadhi.com.au. Our bespoke service involves a detailed consultation process with specialized pricing and timelines.
How long does it take to create my piece?
Each piece requires sixty days of careful attention to create. We partner directly with certified diamond laboratories to create your Laboratory Cultivated diamonds using advanced Chemical Vapour Deposition (CVD) technology. Ensuring optimal quality and customization. Centre stones showcase D-colourless clarity with VVS1 grading, while accent stones maintain DEF colour grades with VS-VVS standards. Each diamond exhibits excellent polish, symmetry, and nil fluorescence.
IGI certification accompanies 0.5 carats and above for round cuts, and 1 carat and above for alternative shapes—ensuring complete transparency and quality assurance.
For personalised consultations or bespoke modifications, our client care team awaits your inquiry.
What metals do you use in your jewelry?
All our pieces are crafted using premium 18K gold (available in white and yellow gold) and platinum. All our alloys are nickel-free, making them suitable for sensitive skin. These high-quality metals provide the perfect foundation for our cultivated diamonds while ensuring durability and lasting beauty.
Do you offer financing options?
We do not currently offer financing options.
How is my jewellery shipped?
All items are sent via free standard secure postage worldwide ($50 AUD for international express) with registered tracking after completion of your jewellery. This ensures your piece arrives safely and can be tracked throughout its journey to you.
What is your diamond cultivation process?
Our cultivation process recreates the precise conditions found deep within Earth's mantle. Carbon atoms arrange themselves in perfect crystalline lattices under carefully calibrated temperature and pressure. Each diamond grows layer by atomic layer, monitored by our master technicians who make microscopic adjustments to influence clarity, color, and character.
Are your diamonds certified?
Yes, all our cultivated diamonds are certified by IGI (International Gemological Institute) using the same rigorous standards applied to mined diamonds. Each piece comes with detailed IGI certification documenting its quality characteristics, stone specifications, and cut details.
How do I determine my ring size?
Achieving the perfect ring fit is essential for comfort and security. A properly fitted ring should slide over your knuckle with slight resistance and sit comfortably on your finger without being too loose or too tight.
Sizing
Our Available Sizes
Maison Alwadhi rings are available in US sizes 4 through 10 to accommodate a wide range of finger sizes.
We understand that sizing can be challenging. We offer one resizing within the first year of purchase to ensure your complete satisfaction with the fit of your Maison Alwadhi creation.
Special Sizing Requests
If you require a size outside our standard range (4-10), please contact us at contact@maisonalwadhi.com.au. We can accommodate special sizing requests through our bespoke services.
Method 1: Professional Sizing
The most accurate way to determine your ring size is to visit a professional jeweler who can measure your finger using a ring mandrel and sizing rings. This ensures the most precise fit for your Maison Alwadhi creation.
Method 2: Measuring an Existing Ring
If you have a ring that fits well on the intended finger:
-
Place the ring on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in millimeters
-
Use a ring sizer chart or online conversion tool to convert to US sizing
-
Ensure the ring was worn on the same finger you intend to wear your new piece
-
Consider the band width - wider bands may require a slightly larger size
Method 3: String or Paper Method
If you don't have an existing ring:
-
Cut a strip of paper or use string about 10cm long and 6mm wide
-
Wrap it around your finger at the base where the ring will sit
-
Mark where the paper overlaps with a pen - ensure it's snug but not tight
-
Measure the length in millimeters with a ruler
-
Use the circumference measurement to determine your US ring size using our chart below
Step 5: Find Your Size Use our sizing chart below to convert your measurement to US ring size.
